TRURO - Truro native Jamie Baillie believes returning to the basics will bring new life to the Progressive Conservatives.

The 43-year-old Halifax resident, who was premier John Hamm's chief of staff for three years before leaving to work with Credit Union Atlantic, was the guest speaker at the Progressive Conservative Association of Truro-Bible Hill annual meeting Friday night.

Baillie said meeting more people on a personal basis, using modern technology and taking a refresh outlook to rebuilding to party, with the help of more new and younger members, will bring the Tories back to its glory days.

Baillie is being courted to run for the Tory leadership in Nova Scotia, but has not made a decision if he will offer for the post.
