Refusing breathalyser results in $1,000 fine
TRURO - A Brookside woman convicted of refusing the breathalyser was yesterday fined $1,000 in provincial court.
Lisa Dianne Mattatal, 33, of 459 Brookside Rd., also lost her driving privileges for one year.
"There goes my winter," Mattatal said, when Judge John MacDougall informed her she was also banned from operating a snowmobile or ATV while her licence is suspended.

New Glasgow woman loses licence for one year
TRURO - A New Glasgow woman who pleaded guilty to refusing the breathalyser received a $1,000 fine in provincial court.
Melissa Christina Pulsifer, 24, of 750 Summer St., also lost her driving privileges for one year.

Truro woman gets suspended sentence for stealing
TRURO - A Truro woman convicted of stealing from MacQuarries drug store was granted a suspended sentence in provincial court on Wednesday.
Jennifer Lisa Barr, 33, of 237 Prince St., was also placed on 18 months probation.
As well, Barr was fined a total of $100 in victim surcharge fees and was ordered to take counselling as directed for mental health issues.
