Failing breathalyser costs Truro man $1,000TRURO - A Truro man convicted of failing the breathalyser has been fined $1,000.
Charles Edwin Reynolds, 49, of 13 Douglas St. was also placed on 12 months probation and ordered to take counselling for alcohol and drug use.

Driving with disqualified licence results in fine for Belmont man
TRURO - A Belmont man convicted of driving while his licence was disqualified has been fined $1,150.
Darcy Reid McMullen, 25, of 687 Crowes Mills Rd., also lost his driving privileges for a further 12 months.

Truro man gets 18 months probation for property damage
TRURO - A Truro man was handed a suspended sentence and ordered to pay restitution after being convicted of mischief by damaging property.
Michael Shane Singer, 45, of 270 Willow St., Apt. 5 was also convicted of forcible entry and resisting arrest. He was placed on 18 months probation, ordered to pay restitution of $265 and must take counselling for drug use and mental health issues.

Suspended sentence for man who damaged a Cavalier
TRURO - A Portapique man was given a
suspended sentence after pleading guilty to mischief by damaging a 2002 Chevrolet
Ryan Timothy Tanner, 27, of 6883 East Montrose Rd., was also convicted of failing to appear in court as ordered. His sentence included 12 months of probation and a restitution order of $107.
