TRURO - As the deadline for applicants is rapidly approaching, the Rotary Club of Truro is encouraging local applicants to join a seven-week Group Study Exchange to Australia in the company of other like-minded business professionals, and hosted by local Rotarians.
While there, the GSE members visit local communities where local Rotarians introduce them to businesses and institutions to match their professional interest.
The program is designed to assist young people to develop vocational and leadership skills within their chosen career path.
Group Study Exchange applicants must be: currently employed in a recognized business or profession on a full time basis, between 25 and 40 years of age and are Canadian citizens, in good health, open minded, patient, altruistic, dependable, positive and flexible, interested and clearly enthusiastic about their chosen vocation, willing to commit to the seven-week process, honouring all requests and deadlines, understand and recognize the significance of their selection for the GSE, and be available to attend an orientation session.
Applicants may not be connected in any way with a Rotary Club.
Submit completed applications, available from the RI website, http://rotary.org/en/ServiceAndFellowship/Fellowship/GroupStudyExchange/Pages/ridefault.aspxwith appropriate and necessary signatures, by e-mail to: jharnett@nf.sympatico.ca
