Car seat inspection today in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD - With motor vehicle collisions the leading cause of deaths and injury for children under the age of 14, Colchester's Public Health Services is recommending parents of young children take note of a free car seat inspection clinic taking place today.
And that is especially in light of data from Health Canada that suggests approximately
90 per cent of child restraints are used
The good news is that using a child restraint system correctly decreases the likelihood of injury by 70 per cent and fatalities by 90 per cent.
Today's clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brookfield Fire Hall.
Another is set for Oct. 3 (same times) at the Bible Hill Fire Hall and on Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nine River Fire Hall.
