TRURO - A town councillor is pleased with the work of its first bylaw enforcement officer.
Sharron Byers was responding to a council report showing properties cited by Labinot Shala for unsightly premises and minimum building and housing maintenance standards. There were 26 properties cited from early April to mid-May and all had been addressed.
"It would appear this bylaw enforcement (officer) is certainly paying off," Byers said. "It's good to see when we hire these new personnel it does show on paper, so hats off to that
Shala was hired by the town in September 2007.
