DARTMOUTH, N.S. - A pedestrian was knocked to the ground and injured after a Metro Transit bus hit a car that spun onto a sidewalk in downtown Dartmouth.
Matthew Penney said he had just stepped out of a store shortly before 1 p.m. Monday when he saw the car was trying to turn in front of the bus and was struck.
He said the car spun around and hit the man on the sidewalk.
Penney said the victim was thrown a few metres and landed on his back.
Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said an ambulance took the car driver and pedestrian to hospital, but neither had injuries that are considered serious.
No one on the bus was hurt.
