TRURO - With only a few days until the provincial election, Rodney MacDonald believes there's only one place his competition is going: down.
The Nova Scotia premier was greeted by party faithful in downtown Truro Saturday with clapping and chants of "Rodney, Rodney, Rodney" as he met with Truro-Bible Hill PC candidate Hughie MacIsaac and about 75 constituents.
When asked by the Truro Daily News to comment on NDP Leader Darrell Dexter's comments last week that this area will result in a "Zannslide" - referring to NDP candidate Lenore Zann - MacDonald said he's not worried.
"Slides usually go down and if that's the slide he's referring to than I couldn't agree more with him."
