Loving literacy

GREAT VILLAGE - Literacy was the theme in Great Village on Saturday.

The Colchester Adult Learning Association and Great Village Community Association hosted its annual Literacy Day celebration at the Great Village Elementary School.

Close to 60 people were at the event shortly after it began in the morning. Janet Dykstra and sons Kyle, left, and Zachary spent some time embracing literacy at the gathering. One of the first things they did was sign up for prizes.

Other festivities included a magic show focusing on the literacy theme, reading time, crafts and displays.
