TRURO - The Truro Bearcats are still perfect.
At Colchester Legion Stadium on Saturday, the Bearcats upended the Summerside Western Capitals 4-1 in Maritime Junior Hockey League play.
The result improved Truro's record to 10-0-0-0, tops in the Eastlink Division. The Capitals drop to 8-2-1-0, leaving them second in the Bent Division.
Brandon McMartin, Kyle Morrison, Travis Fernley and Cal Golade staked the Bearcats to 2-0 and 4-0 period leads. McMartin also had two assists.
Shayne Campbell stopped 25 of 26 shots, his shutout bid broken with 44 seconds remaining on a goal by Colton Parsons.
Attendance was 720.
The two teams meet again today in Summerside at 2 p.m.
