DEBERT – RCMP and medical emergencies were kept busy on the holiday Monday as a number of accidents took place on Hwy. 104.

At about 12:30 p.m., near the Masstown Exit 12, a white Chevrolet van that was travelling westbound lost control and flipped into the ditch. The three occupants of the van, one male and two females, all age 26, were  transported to Colchester Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Moments later in the eastbound lane of the same area, a rear-end collision occurred between a Ford Escape and a Ford Ranger. No injuries were sustained in that collision.

Traffic was re-routed for several hours at Debert and the accidents were being investigated.
