Truro natives help X-Men to second Maritime lacrosse title

TRURO - A pair of Truro natives were part of the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men field lacrosse team that captured the Telus Cup on the weekend.
Valley's Jamie Barnett and Truro's Jarret Macdonald were part of the team that downed the Dalhousie Tigers 10-5 in the final at Huskies Stadium at St. Mary's University.
The Maritime University Field Lacrosse League title is the second in two years for the team.
Both teams entered the final with 7-1 records.
