LFMH Auxiliary Annual Chowder Fest

Details : “The Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be holding their Annual Chowder Fest on Saturday, February 9th 2013 at the Fire Hall, Tatamagouche from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. The price is $8 for fish chowder and $7 for corn chowder. As always, live musical entertainment will be provided. There will also be a bake sale as well as a 50/50 draw. We look forward to seeing you at the Chowder Fest again this year and appreciate your ongoing support with our worthwhile fundraising endeavours. All proceeds go directly to the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for purchase of new and much-needed equipment.”

Choirs for Comfort

Details : At 3 pm on Saturday, February 9th and again on Sunday, February 10th, First United Church (Truro) will host the 9th annual Choirs for Comfort Concert. Performers include the Cantabile Boys Choir, The Cantabile Singers, CEC Choir, Creative Voices, First Baptist Girls Choir, First United Church Adult Choir, Harmony Heights Elementary School Choir, New Glasgow Junior High School Choir, St. Andrews Church Choir, St James Mens Choir, Tatamagouche Area Singers, Tonic, Treble Makers, Truro Elementary School Choir, and the Truro Youth Singers. Admission is a free will donation which will go to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
