Frank Cassidy has confirmed with the Truro Daily News his intention to run for Truro town council during this fall's municipal election. The following is an introductory bio of Cassidy.

Running for: Ward 1 councillor

Hobbies: Gardening, stamp collecting
Major issues he sees in the town: "I want to see a national standard (flag) put up at town hall" promoting major events as they occur and special groups and organizations, said Cassidy.
Also, "I want to see a Canadian flag flying in front of town hall ... (and) we have to do something with (John Ross and Sons) because it's absolutely disgusting."
Why he believes he's a good candidate: "I believe in change."
