TRURO - The Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce is getting lots of questions heading into next week's pair of debates at the Truro Fire Hall, but there's still room for more.
The debates among candidates in Colchester North and Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River take place on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
"We're getting everything from wildlife conservation to finances and questions about education," said debate moderator Alan Johnson, in a news release. "But I can't say much more until Tuesday, because the candidates have agreed that our e-mail question submission process will remain top secret until debate night. It suffices to say that nobody should be disappointed with the variety of questions we've gotten so far. But the more the questions keep on coming, the more interesting the debates will be."
Questions will be collected until noon on Sept. 23. They should be submitted to the following address. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please state in your e-mail whether your question is for the riding of Colchester North or the riding of Truro-Bible Hill-Salmon River-Millbrook.
People who prefer not to use e-mail can telephone their questions to the chamber of commerce at 895-6328.
The first debate for Colchester North begins in the Truro Fire Hall at 6:30 p.m. The second debate for the Truro-area riding kicks off at 8 p.m. Both debates will be broadcast ‘live' on specialty radio station HOPE-FM at 106.3 on dials across Colchester County.
