Don’t forget about bike week activities being held throughout the region
Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained and active this summer? Colchester Recreation might have just the thing.
Physical activity day camps will be travelling throughout the county again this summer. Join us when Fun in the Sun comes to your community and enjoy a week of fun outdoor games, group activities, sports, theme days and lots more to keep kids active this summer.
There will be lots of opportunities for kids ages five to 12 to have fun and be active in Colchester County communities this summer. Register for the ever-popular Classic Camps, which include a variety of fun-filled games and sports that promote having fun and being active. Classic Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year the camps have been revamped as a convenience to parents and an added bonus to kids. Fun in the Sun Day Camps will be offering extended hours at several locations; these camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature extra fun activities.
There are lots of reasons why we think day camps are so much fun, but here are a few of our favourites:
• You can stay active with your friends and learn a new game or sport;
• Camps are a chance to be part of the fun, get outside and enjoy the adventure; and
• The opportunity to play on the “original playstation” — the playground.
