Truro residents come out to support Amanda Murphy.

Roughly 75 people lined Prince Street in Truro on Sunday outside the provincial courthouse in a peaceful demonstration to support people with mental disabilities that are currently before the justice system, including Amanda Murphy. Murphy’s parents, Victor and Iris, live in North River and don’t want to see their daughter, who has the mental capacity of a five to eight-year-old, end up behind bars.
