TRURO – More than 160 people recently crawled through mud, navigated obstacles and climbed one of Truro’s most grueling inclines, Jacobs’s Ladder.
The physical challenges were part of the fourth annual VP Challenge, which was held in Victoria Park July 20.
Shannon Jarvis, active communities co-ordinator for the Town of Truro, said the event has continued to grow each year.
“It is nice to be able to provide an active opportunity that the whole family can participate in,” she said.
“Victoria Park is such a beautiful place to visit and this race brings people from the local area as well as those from other areas looking for a fun family outing.”
Jarvis said along with a great physical activity, the race brings people from all over to enjoy family time in downtown Truro.
