Creighton to serve as head of barristers society

TRURO - Truro lawyer J. Ronald Creighton QC has become the new president of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society.
Raised in Tatamagouche, Creighton was called to the Bar in 1974 after graduating from Dalhousie University with degrees in political science and law. He is co-managing partner of Patterson Law's Truro office and provides leadership in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, wills and estates. His community volunteer experience is extensive, including 15 years as chair of the Colchester Regional Development Agency.
Creighton's tenure as the new president began on Saturday, and will continue until next June.
