Atlantic Horse Fair to be held in Bible Hill April 17-18

BIBLE HILL - The third annual edition of the Atlantic Horse Fair will be held April 17 and 18 at the exhibition grounds in Bible Hill Diane Daniels, manager of the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition recently announced.
This year's line up includes four sessions of barrel racing clinics with Marci Powell of Hardisty, Alta., along with four hunter/jumper clinics with well-known New Brunswick coach, Sheila Pickrell.
New for 2010, horse trainer Gord Searle of Strathmore, Alta., will be on hand providing two sessions each day demonstrating solutions to problem horses.
A fresh feature for the show will be the speakers corner featuring such qualified consultants as Pam MacKenzie, equine consultant for Clarence's Farm Services, covering feeding options for 2010, Roz Moskovits of Hearthstone Riding Stables on purchasing your first pony or horse and Jason Reddin from Merial Ltd., speaking on worming of animals.
Attendees will find the event has expanded to include dogs with dog and horse relays and a possible sheep herding demonstration on the schedule for Saturday.
Information on the canine will also be found throughout the show with the Greyhound Adoption Society, SPCA and other animal rescue and information groups taking advantage of the opportunity to promote their cause.
Admission is $5.
