HALIFAX - Microbrewery customers can now buy a bottle of their favourite local brew right from the bar.

Changes have been made to the Liquod Licensing Regulations that allow beer made in-house to be sold from the pub instead of having to be purchased from a segregated storefront.

Beer will be sold in 1.8 litre to two-litre bottles, known as growlers. Purchases for offsite consumption can't be done after 10 p.m. Customers can purchase the bottles just prior to leaving the establishment and the bottle must be sealed.
