The Blue Puttees ran aground in Port aux Basques.
No injuries were reported among the 398 passengers and 91 crew members aboard, though they were stranded for several hours waiting for high tide to help move the ferry off the wharf.
With the return of the MV Blue Puttees, the MV Atlantic Vision will resume its Argentia sailing schedule, with the first departure being Wednesday’s sailing from North Sydney to Argentia.
Argentia customers whose original bookings were rerouted through Port aux Basques are being contacted and provided the option of rebooking to the Argentia service. Previously affected customers who choose to take the Argentia service will see no increase in their fare and will continue to pay the Port aux Basques-North Sydney rate.
