TRURO – The Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce (TCCoC) is currently seeking nominations for its Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award recognizes a lifetime of commitment to Colchester County’s business and charitable communities.

“Previous winners of the award – David K. Wilson of Wilson’s Fuel, Lorne MacDougall of Burchall MacDougall and Jim Cameron of PWC – are great examples of the type of nominees we’re looking for,” said chamber of commerce executive director Tim Tucker in a news release. “These people epitomize drive, determination, commitment and compassion for the community as a whole.”

A nomination form for the Lifetime Achievement Award can be found at trurocolchesterchamber.com. All nominations must be received by Feb. 28 at 4:30 p.m.

The award will be given out at the TCCoC’s annual dinner on April 4. A guest speaker for the event will be announced at a later date.

I'd nominate the three Berry Brothers! They grew up dirt poor and through luck, hard work, and a knack for profit, made it...all without the help of any 'old money'!
