Only two customers impacted when power pole knocked down

TRURO - Only two customers were affected
by a power outage after a motor vehicle hit a power pole on Robie Street early Sunday morning.
Dave Rodenhiser, spokesman with Nova Scotia Power (NSP), told the Truro Daily News NSP crews were on scene Sunday after a pole was sheared off, leaving power lines on the road.
Roadblocks were set up along Robie Street at Juniper and Ford streets, as well as Longworth Avenue and the corner of Elm and Queen streets. Traffic was re-routed on Prince Street. Crews replaced the pole and restored power by about 3 p.m.
The single-vehicle accident happened before 4 a.m. Truro police said there were no injuries reported.
An investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
