Accident leaves downed power pole on Robie Street; traffic rerouted

TRURO - A portion of Robie Street in Truro was blocked off Sunday morning after a vehicle hit a power pole.

Nova Scotia Power crews were on scene Sunday after a pole was sheared off, leaving power lines on the road.

Truro police said the single-vehicle accident happened before 6 a.m. There were no reported injuries. Roadblocks were set up along Robie Street at Juniper and Ford streets, as well as Longworth Avenue and the corner of Elm and Queen streets. Traffic was being re-routed on Prince Street.

Truro police said the investigation is continuing.
