HALIFAX - A search is ongoing for a man who went overboard in waters just off the mouth of Halifax harbour.
The Halifax search and rescue centre says they were informed by the coast guard around 2:30 a.m. Sunday of a report of a crewmember falling overboard from the fishing vessel Lady Tiana.
Capt. Marco Plasse says 14 vessels are involved in the search along with one Cormorant helicopter in a small area of water just south of Devil's Island.
Plasse says although rescue officials know exactly where the mishap occurred the search has failed to turn up any sign of the missing crewman.
There's no word on the home port of the fishing boat.
