Man airlifted to hospital after motorcyle accident near Tatamagouche

TATAMAGOUCHE - A man was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre this afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving left Highway 246 in Oliver.

EHS spokesman Paul Maynard said they were called to the scene at 11:59 a.m. after the motorcyle left the road and struck a tree.

The patient, believed to be in his 30s, was being transported to the QEII in serious condition with head and chest injuries.

EHS was assisted by Tatamagouche firefighters at the scene.
