Something for everyone during homecoming festivities in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD - Coming Home to Brookfield festivities conclude this weekend with something for young and old.
On Saturday, at 11 a.m. a teddy bear picnic and kids' bingo will be held at the train station.
From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. a barbecue will be offered at the corner of Highways 2 and 289 with proceeds going to breast cancer research.
Waterslides on the South Colchester Academy hill take place between 2 to 4 p.m. and a sail boat regatta begins on Shortts Lake at
2:30 p.m.
Evening festivities focus on the annual Whing Ding at 7 p.m. at the Sportsplex
parking lot.
Sunday events include a church service at 9:45 a.m. at Knox United Church, followed by a neighbourhood brunch at Hurricane Heidi's Care from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sail boat regatta continues on the lake at 2:30 p.m. followed by kite flying, entertainment, supper, church service and closing ceremonies at Carter homestead.
