TRURO – A new group exhibit will take spectators into the dreams of the artist.

Visual Voice on King Street in Truro is hosting ‘Dreams/Travels,’ a group art show featuring artists such as Kath Rutherford, Louise Baker, Nora Gross, Robert Rutherford, Eliza Schurman, Ed Porter, Judy Arsenault, Krristina Lehtonen, Betty-Anne Gaetz and more. The words are a personal reflection of how each artist dreams, from food to hobbies, to their travel at home or abroad.

It also shows how they can mix in an explosion of colour, humour, contemplation and insight.

The exhibit, which runs May 17 to June 21, contains artwork in a variety of media including etching, oil and acrylic paintings, silkscreen, watercolour and mixed media. A free opening reception will be held May 17, 7-9 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Also at the gallery in the near future are two Batik egg workshops with Czech artist Eva Rifai (May 27, 10 a.m., or June 7, 7 p.m.). Workshop cost is $15 plus tax and all materials are included. Pre-registration is a must, which can be done by calling the gallery at 843-9464.
