New sketches, songs to be featured in Tis the Season 6

TRURO - Tis the Season 6 is making its way to town.

Cape Breton comedians Bette MacDonald and Maynard Morrison, along with Ralph Dillon, are touring the province with the production and will feature two shows - Dec. 5 and 6 - at the Marigold Cultural Centre.

Tis the Season 6 celebrates all things festive and features brand new sketches and songs, as well as a few favourites with well-known characters Mary, Martin, Cujo, Wayne, Fr. Gillis, Marjore, Donnie and Da.

"This year's show promises to give you that Christmas feeling," said MacDonald.

"You know the one you get, after you've put away your body weight in Pot Of Gold chocolates or when you realize that you haven't started your Christmas shopping and it's 4:30 on Christmas Eve, or the one you get when you can't remove the giblets from the turkey because it's still frozen inside."

The shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the Marigold box office on Prince Street or by calling 897-4004.
