TRURO - A ventriloquist who's been featured on Canada's Got Talent is bringing her virtues message about creating kinder communities to the Marigold Cultural Centre this weekend.
Val Hilliker is set to perform two shows at the centre on Sunday. Show times are 1 and 3 p.m.
The early afternoon show is free to those families that use the services of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colchester County, the Boys and Girls Club of Truro and Colchester, Maggie's Place, Third Place Transition House and Millbrook First Nation Band Council.
Clients of these organizations can contact the respective offices for tickets.
The second show is open to the public and tickets are $5 each or a family rate (maximum of five) is $15. Tickets are available in advance at evanmac@eastlink.ca or 895-9735. Tickets will also be available at the door.
"This is a great way to spread the virtues message about creating kinder communities, say a big thank you to those organizations providing important services to youth in our area, and to provide quality entertainment for families in our community," said Evan Marks MacIsaac, president of Virtues Connection Nova Scotia, the organization hosting the performances.
Hilliker has been performing for more than 30 years delivering an important character education message about creating kinder communities through living your virtues.
