TRURO - Halifax-based rockers The Stanfields are stopping in Truro on their Canadian tour to promote their sophomore album.
Death & Taxes is being released on Tuesday and features 10 highly-charged tracks that are anthemic in scope and resplendent with The Stanfields' trademarks - a folk and punk-tinged blue collar rock and roll sound, driving guitar riffs and vocalist/guitarist Jon Landry's Tom Waits-esque growl.
The Stanfields will stop at the Split Crow on Oct. 6, just into the tour during October and November.
Formed in 2008 and hailing from the gritty post-industrial towns of Nova Scotia, The Stanfields play every show like it's their collective last night on Earth.
