Artists in conversation

TRURO – The Marigold Cultural Centre Art Gallery will feature an exhibit and talk on Jan. 26 titled ‘Artists in Conversation.’

Co-hosted by arts educator Dee Appleby and Truro Art Society president Janice Stewart, the event will feature conversations with four artists, while highlighting their work.

Danielle Sawada, owner of Thrown Together Pottery, will speak to the art of pottery and entrepreneurship, multimedia artist Dianne Redden will share her thoughts on working with a variety of mediums, Mi’kmaq artist Gerald Gloade will present his ideas on aboriginal art and Joy Laking will chat about her art, writing, and travels.

A special ‘Artists in Conversation’ exhibit will feature the four artists during January at the Marigold Gallery and additional work will be presented the night of the event.

The event begins with a reception at 7 p.m., followed by the event at 7:30.
