A'Court back for this year's blues festival, Nelson to take the stage on opening night

BIBLE HILL - This year's Dutch Mason Blues Festival will kick off with a bang with Lukas Nelson taking the stage as the first of the Friday night headliners.

Dutchie's son Garrett Mason will once again open the show and then it will be onto Lukas Nelson, son of the legendary Willie Nelson, who will take the stage at 8:45 p.m.

Nelson will be followed by the Sheepdogs at 10 p.m., who will give over the stage at 11:30 p.m. to the Georgia Satellites.

Other acts throughout the opening night will include The Hupman Brothers, Lucky Dog Blues Band, EB Anderson & the Resolutes, the Horsepower Blues Band, Doris Mason and the Jim Henman Trio.

Headliners for Saturday include Shirley King (3 p.m.), Jimmy D Lane (4:15), festival ambassador and old time bluesman James Cotton (8:45), the John Oates Band (10 p.m) and Delbert McClinton.

Also, Charlie A'Court fans will get the hear the McCallum Settlement native's special blend of blues licks on Saturday as he returns to the festival this year.

Other acts interspersed throughout the night will include The Terry Whalen Band, Darren Arsenault, Leeboy and Roger Howse.

Sunday's lineup will include Theresa Malenfant, John Cambelljohn, Dan Dorion, Joe Murphy, Garret Mason and the Dutch Mason Blues Band before the Marshall Tucker Band hits the stage at 6 p.m. to close out the festival.

Tickets for Friday are $45 in advance or $55 at the gate. Saturday tickets are $65 in advance or $75 at the gate. Sunday's show will cost $35 in advance or $45 at the gate (plus HST for all prices).

And, as usual, the festival will include a custom motorcycle show, barbecue competitions, acoustic showcases, and artist's fan fair, late-night blues jam and more."
