STEWIACKE - Organizers for the 21st annual bluegrass festival here this weekend are hoping the weather stays sunny.
Sandra MacPhee said she and her husband, Lloyd, never know how many people to expect for the three-day event because of the weather.
"Some years we're up, some we're down," she said. "It all depends on the weather."
From tomorrow through to Sunday, the festival will feature a number of artists on the Stewiacke River Park Road including A New Shade of Blue, Bluegrass Tradition, Blue Tie Affair, Megan Isenor and Connections, Eddy Poirier and Family, and Janet McGarry and Wildwood.
"All of them are returning, but we haven't had Megan Isenor or Blue Tie Affair for the entire weekend," said MacPhee.
Admission for the event varies. If camping is preferred, admission is $50 per person for the weekend.
Individual admission is set at $12 for Friday evening, Saturday morning to afternoon and Sunday. Admission Saturday night is $15, and an all-day Saturday admission is $25.
Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. Friday and runs until 10:30 p.m., with things picking back up again at 11 a.m. Saturday until 10 p.m. Sunday entertainment runs 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
