TRURO - A special registration fee for the annual Strings ‘n' Things camp at the Marigold Cultural Centre is soon coming to a close.
Those registering for the camp by June 15 will see a special price of $149.
From July 30 to Aug. 1, the camp will teach beginner and intermediate musicians in violin, cello and bass.
The camp offers individuals an opportunity to play music in a fun and supportive group, learn tunes from various musical styles and connect music with other arts, all while having fun.
Each day will begin with a stretch and warm-up of the bodies, followed by ‘strings are a'singing' vocal warm-ups.
Musical games will take place before a snack break. From the snack break to lunch, the musicians will play tunes in small groups or bands.
Following lunch, a guest speaker will talk or conduct an activity and the day ends with musicians playing tunes in a massed ensemble.
The camp is open to all ages and will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
