TRURO - The Town of Truro will select a new piece of artwork to add to its permanent collection June 5 when it officially opens its seventh annual Art Acquisition Show.
The art exhibit, which runs until June 29, is co-hosted with the Truro Art Society and being held at the McCarthy Hall Gallery, NSCC Campus, 36 Arthur St., Truro.
The show's official opening will be held at 7 p.m. on June 5, at which time the newest addition to the town's permanent art collection will be announced. The opening, which is open to the public, will feature music and refreshments.
Sixteen artists are participating in this year's show.
Members of the town's art acquisition committee will select this year's winning entry. The panel of judges will be joined by Truro artist Richard Wenzel, whose painting entitled ‘View Toward Onslow' was selected last year.
