Hardiman's work to be featured at Truro art show

TRURO - A Truro Art Society member will exhibit for the first time in the upcoming FanTASia show.

Fall FanTASia is a show that represents an artist's own interpretation of what visual art is. Valley artist Judy Hardiman, who began painting in 2005, is one of the people being featured in the art society members' show. She will showcase some of her large quilt-inspired paintings.

FanTASia will begin with an opening reception on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. at McCarthy Gallery in the Nova Scotia Community College.

Artists will exhibit works in a variety of media including watercolour, acrylic, oil and pastel paintings, sculptures, fabric and fibre creations as well as photography. The show is open is to the public and runs until Oct. 28.
